Our customer is one of the largest passenger train manufactures in the world. The products of our customer include all types of passenger railway vehicles from high speed trains, Maglev, intercity trains, to metro, tram-trains, light rail vehicles etc.  In order to expand the research team in Aachen Germany, the company is looking for a talent with extensive experience in Structural mechanic to join and assist the team leader to manage the team together.

Job Description:

1. Technical strategy planning activities related to aerodynamics/aeroacoustics for railway vehicles and low altitude aircraft
2. Implementation of R&D projects related to aerodynamics/aeroacoustics/thermodynamics
3. Mentoring and coaching of younger team members
4. Establishment of technical guidelines/internal technical specifications in relevant technical fields
5. Managing of the CFD team and performance assessment of the team members
6. Technical resource exploration and networking building
7. Third-party customer development and technical marketing activities related to aerodynamics/aeroacoustics

Qualifications:

1. No less than 15 years as engineers in railway industry
2. Deep and proved knowledge and references for software such as StarCCM+, PowerFlow, etc.
3. References of successful team leading
4. Strong target orientation and commitment to deadlines
5. Understanding and experiences regarding direct dealing with end users
6. Familiar with relevant standards, codes, guidelines such as EN 14067, regulations regarding EU homologation
